Additionally, the integrated gramophone operates fully automatically. Users simply select the size of the record and press a button—then, the system handles the rest. The magnesium pickup arm is extremely lightweight, and when paired with the low-mass MMC 3000 cartridge, it allows the turntable to track warped records effectively. Also, the anti-skating device functions automatically for optimal performance.

To enhance durability, both the pickup arm and the turntable mechanism feature a special spring suspension that improves shock and vibration resistance. Notably, users can play records with the dust lid closed, which protects both the turntable and the record collection from damaging dust particles.

In terms of connectivity, the Beocenter 1800 includes connections for a tape recorder, two sets of stereo speakers, and headphones. When paired with Beovox Uni-Phase passive loudspeakers, it forms the impressive Beosystem 1800.
