Beosound 9000 MK 3
The Beocenter 2100 serves as a simplified version of the Beocenter 4000. Specifically, it features just one cassette deck, which is the recording unit. However, it lacks several key features, including auto-reverse, a fully automatic tape selector, HX Pro technology, and a microphone mixer. While the cabinet size remains the same, the absence of these components creates an empty space in the center. This, in turn, may remind users that they are starting at the basic level of the product range.
Unfortunately, the Beocenter 2100 does not offer the innovative content and appealing features typically associated with Bang & Olufsen products. As a result, its moderate performance is somewhat disappointing. Therefore, buyers might find better value in offerings from major Japanese brands like Technics or Sony. Alternatively, they could save a bit more and invest in a Beomaster 2000 and Beocord 2000 for a more rewarding experience.
In contrast, the Beocenter 2200, 2100, and 4000 each showcase a unique style while embodying the quality and simplicity associated with Bang & Olufsen.
If you appreciate true hi-fi but aren’t fond of records, then the Beocenter 2100 is a great option. Notably, it retains all the features of the Beocenter 2200 but does not include the record deck. Consequently, this design allows it to take up even less space.
Moreover, the Beovox X25 loudspeakers are the recommended choice for this system. However, the Beocenter 2100 can pair seamlessly with any other Bang & Olufsen speakers available at the time. When combined with the Beovox X25, this setup is referred to as Beosystem 2100. For an enhanced audio experience, you might also consider adding either the Beogram RX2 or TX2 record deck to the system.
In summary, while the Beocenter 2100 has its advantages, those seeking a more feature-rich experience may want to explore other options.
