In 2002, Nikkei BP Design awarded BeoSound 1 the bronze award, praising its striking design and versatility. As a result, the product became popular with both younger and older listeners due to its affordability and simplicity.

Limited Edition Release

In August 2001, Bang & Olufsen released a limited edition of 1,000 BeoSound 1 units online in a russet yellow color. Customers could reserve these units for pre-launch on the Bang & Olufsen website, generating buzz before the official release.
