The patented MOTS algorithm analyzes your entire music collection from a single track and continues playing similar—but not identical—songs.

“The new software update for BeoSound 5 is great for customers looking for a high-end music system to complete their audio/video setup,” says Bang & Olufsen product manager Rie Kold Pripsø. “Existing BeoSound 5 customers have already received this update automatically.”
One exciting feature of the new software is the ability to wirelessly transfer content to BeoSound 5 from a smartphone. This update also enhances your listening experience, as music now plays through connected Bang & Olufsen speakers.
“If you’re in the kitchen, you can access content from BeoSound 5 using your iPad, iPod touch, or iPhone. Once you find the song you want, you can play it through speakers in the room or dock your Apple device into the BeoSound 8 speaker dock,” explains Rie Kold Pripsø.
The new BeoSound 5 Encore primarily targets customers who don’t already own Bang & Olufsen products.
