Beosound 3200
Beosound 9000 MK 3
The Beocenter 2300 catered to CD enthusiasts. It offered features like storing titles of favorite CDs and skipping unwanted tracks. When connected to the BeoLab 2500 active speakers, it became the Beosystem 2300. Later, the BeoSound 3000 surpassed it with more features and a fresh design in 2001.
Bang & Olufsen designed the Beocenter 2300 as a flexible music system. It aimed to rival traditional heavy audio setups. With the introduction of active speakers, both the Beocenter 2300 and the Beocenter 2500 delivered outstanding sound quality. Each speaker features separate amplifiers for powerful bass and treble. An electronic crossover network ensures excellent bass reproduction.
The system’s loudspeakers sit on either side of a sleek center console. Two clear glass covers automatically slide open when a hand passes in front of them. Behind these panels, users can access the operating panel, receiver, CD player, and cassette recorder.
Users can preset up to 20 FM/AM radio stations. The cassette recorder includes Auto Reverse, Automatic Recording Level, a search function, and Bang & Olufsen’s HX-PRO recording system. This system captures sensitive treble ranges during recording. The CD player’s memory allows users to edit up to 100 CDs.
People can operate the system using the built-in panel or a Beolink 1000 or Beolink 5000 remote control. The Beocenter 2300 also includes sockets for headphones and connections for additional sound sources, including extra loudspeakers.
Available with loudspeaker panels in cobalt grey, black, white, cerise, and jade, the Beocenter 2300 transforms into the Beosystem 2300 when paired with the BeoLab 2500 active loudspeakers.
Mounting Options
This classic design enjoyed a revival over 21 years, featuring various mounts and stands. Users could choose from floor stands with options for a pole stand or CD and tape storage. Wall mount solutions accommodated either the Hi-Fi system alone or with BeoLab 2500 speakers until their discontinuation.
