Beosound 3200
Beosound 9000 MK 3
After much anticipation, Bang & Olufsen launched the BeoLab 9, an innovative acoustic lens speaker that replaces the discontinued BeoLab 1. This highly anticipated model combines cutting-edge technology with B&O’s iconic design, setting a new standard for sound quality and style.
The BeoLab 9 shifts B&O’s design approach, moving away from traditional column loudspeakers to a more compact, rounded form. The larger cabinet volume enhances bass performance, delivering powerful low-end sound, while the speaker’s height ensures it aligns with ear-level when seated for optimal listening.
Distinctive Acoustic Lens and Premium Design Features
The BeoLab 9 features B&O’s signature acoustic lens, cast from zinc and plated with matte chrome. This lens is the focal point of the design, giving the speaker a unique look that B&O likens to a lighthouse. Thoughtful design elements, like the hidden power LED and the curved cooling vents, enhance both the speaker’s appearance and functionality.
Equipped with three high-performance drivers, the BeoLab delivers crystal-clear sound across the entire frequency spectrum:
10” bass driver in an 18-liter enclosure
5” mid-range driver in a 4-liter enclosure
0.75” tweeter housed within the acoustic lens
Each driver is powered by a dedicated amplifier to ensure precise sound reproduction.
With its 3-way active speaker design, the BeoLab 9 prioritizes sound quality, replacing the BeoLab 8000 with larger drivers and more powerful amplification. The speaker’s cone shape allows for a more efficient sound delivery, while the acoustic lens ensures uniform audio dispersion throughout the room.
Reliability and Protection: Built-In Safety Features for Long-Lasting Performance
The BeoLab 9 is designed with advanced protection systems to safeguard the drivers from overdriving and overheating. These safety measures ensure that the speaker performs consistently, even under heavy usage, making it a reliable choice for audiophiles.
Flexible Connectivity and Equalization for Custom Sound
Connectivity is simple, thanks to Powerlink cables, and the BeoLab 9 includes an equalizer switch to optimize sound based on speaker placement. Whether you’re connecting B&O or non-B&O equipment, the speaker offers flexible options to suit various setups.
The BeoLab stands out as an exceptional successor to the BeoLab 8000, offering superior sound quality, advanced protection features, and thoughtful design. By focusing on performance, durability, and aesthetic appeal, B&O has created a speaker that promises to elevate any audio experience.
