Mobile phone chargers are rarely exciting objects—but Bang & Olufsen has a talent for turning the ordinary into something special. By combining the charger with a purpose-designed holder, the BeoCharger transformed the BeoCom 9800 into a mobile phone you’d be proud to leave on display.

Weighing under 100 grams and slim enough to fit comfortably in a pocket, the BeoCom 9800 was among the world’s smallest cellular phones when it launched—without compromising on features. It even supported voice dialing: simply say the name of the person you want to call, and the phone would dial for you. The matching BeoCharger integrated both a stand and charger into one elegant solution.
