Beovox 4000 was a large speaker model designed to pair with the Beomaster 3000 and Beolab 5000. However, its 40W maximum rating required caution when using the full power of the latter. The robust cabinet housed a 10” woofer, a 7.2×5” elliptical midrange driver, and two 1.5” cone tweeters. These tweeters were mounted on angled, recessed mounts facing away from each other vertically to improve high-frequency dispersion—a technique later replaced by dome tweeters in newer models. Despite not using dome tweeters, the Beovox 4000 still met all the DIN 45500 “Hi-Fi” standards.
